Policies and Procedures

















Q: What should my gymnast wear to class?

A:  Boys or Girls may wear tucked in T-shirts and shorts OR Leotard. NO chewing gum or dangling jewelry. Hair should be pulled neatly and securely away from the face so that is stays up for the entire workout. Girls should not wear bows or other large hair ornaments that may cause discomfort during activity. Footwear is NOT permitted on the floor or during classes (unless otherwise notified by coach). Shoes can be stored in a cubby hole prior to the start of practice.  Personal items should be left in cubby holes as well. Jewelry should not be worn during classes. PLEASE LEAVE JEWELRY ARTICLES AT HOME. Phoenix Gymnastics and its staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. Be sure your student's personal items are marked with their name.

Q: As of August, 2021, Sandy Springs Gymnastics will be switching to a 6-week session, what does this mean for the price of tuition?

A:  The cost of the six week session is $120, with the six week sessions, you will be auto-enrolled into the subsequent six-week sessions for the fall term. The dates that are available to withdraw from the following session are... 

Drop Dates for the Fall 2021 Session are-

Session 1: Monday, September 6, 2021- Friday September 10,2021

Session 2: Monday, October 18, 2021-Friday, October 22, 2021

Session 3: Monday, December 6, 2021-Friday, December 10, 2021

**Please note changes made during the drop period will be applied to the subsequent session. 

Q: What is the $35 fee that I have to pay, I thought the cost for one class was $120?

A:  In addition to the $120 class fee for the six-week session, there is an annual membership fee of $35, charged annually on your anniversary of becoming a part of the Sandy Springs Gymnastics family.

Q: If my gymnast misses a class, can we do a makeup class?

A:  Effective August 2021, we will no longer give out makeup codes for makeup classes. If gymnasts miss a class, they have the option to attend the open gym assigned to them, this opportunity does not roll over, if there is a conflict with open gym. There are three makeup opportunities for the Fall-

Sunday, September 19, 2021, 10am-12pm

Sunday, October 31, 2021, 10am-12pm

Sunday, December 19, 2021, 10am-12pm

Please note that the pace of open gym is more self-directed and has a different structure than our normal classes, but they will be given an opportunity to work on different skills with coaches present for spotting and safety. You are eligible for one makeup (open gym credit) per session and those eligible will receive an email with the link to confirm attendance for the assigned open gym session.  

Q:  What is open gym?

A: Open gym is a time to make up for a missed class, it is a time to work on skills learned in

class, not free play. Parents must remain at open gym with your child, the whole time. 

  • Open gym is offered on the following Sundays  from 10:00am - 12:00pm:

    • Sunday, September 19th 2021

    • Sunday, October 31st 2021

    • Sunday, December 19th 2021

**A make-up CANNOT be carried over into another session.

A:  Refunds are given on a case-by-case basis and require 14 days written notice. Refunds are not given for open gyms or missed classes within a registered session.
