Early Steps Division (Age 2-7)

EARLY STEPS FOR TODDLERS (AGES 2-3)

This 45-minute class will provide your child’s first exposure to basic acro and dance skills, terminology, rhythm, and music in a nurturing environment. This weekly class is an excellent introduction to movement that will help young children use their imagination while developing essential motor skills and memory in a classroom environment. Student do NOT perform in studio performance.  Dancers must be 2 years old and toilet trained by August 1st.

 

Dress Code

  • Any Color Leotard and ballet skirt, 

  • Theatrical Pink Tights, Pink capezio or bloch ballet slippers. 

  • Hair must be pulled back out of face in ballet bun (she/her/hers)

  • white t shirt, black shorts and black ballet slippers(he/him)

 

PRE BALLET 1: Combo Ballet and Tap (AGE 4-5)

This 55 min weekly movement and tap class is a great introduction to dance for preschoolers.  It helps young dancers use their imagination while developing basic motor skills, rhythm and memory in a classroom environment.  Dancers must be 4 years old and toilet trained by August 1st. 

Dress Code

  • Leotard: Pink Leotard

  • Tights: Theatrical Pink Tights, Pink capezio or bloch Ballet Slippers.  

  • Hair: Hair must be pulled back out of face in ballet bun (she/her/hers)

  • white t-shirt, black tights and black ballet slippers and black tap shoes (he/him)

PRE BALLET 2: Combo Ballet,Tap and Jazz (AGE 6-7)

This weekly combination class of Ballet, Tap and Jazz helps young dancers continue to build their dance education with an emphasis on counting music and an introduction to basic Jazz steps.  Dancers must be 6 years old by August 1st. 

Dress Code

  • Leotard: Burgundy Leotard

  • Tights: Theatrical Pink Tights, Pink capezio or bloch Ballet Slippers.  

  • Hair: Hair must be pulled back out of face in ballet bun (she/her/hers)

  • white t shirt, black tights and black ballet slippers and black tap shoes (he/him)

Little Steps Division (Age 8+)

PRIMARY: Ballet/Tap/Jazz (Ages 8-10) 

Proper posture, body positions and alignment, will be taught.  Class structure and discipline are also emphasized, and musicality and creativity are explored through improvisation.  This weekly classes of Ballet, Tap and jazz helps young dancers to continue build their dance education.  Dancers must be 8 years old by August 1st.

  • Leotard: Lavender Leotard

  • Tights: Theatrical Pink Tights and Pink capezio or bloch Ballet Slippers. 

  • Hair: Hair must be pulled back out of face in ballet bun (she/her/hers)

  • white t shirt, black tights and black ballet slippers (he/him)

 

BALLET 1 (Ages 11 and up) 

The structure of this ballet class enhances students’ physical and mental discipline while re-affirming posture, placement, flexibility, and strength. Students learn performance skills and basic music fundamentals while cultivating self-confidence and presence. Students receive the individual attention they need whether they have had previous experience or are absolute beginners.  Intro level classes are offered in Ballet, tap,Jazz and contemporary. While no prior dance experience is required, however having some dance experience is a plus.

Open Division (Age 4+)

Acrobatics and Flexibility

Acro is a style of dance which combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Students are carefully placed in the appropriate level based upon their technical skills, physical development, and strength. The physical and artistic well-being of the student is the consideration in determining level placement. Because of the nature of this program, it is not unusual to spend more than one year in the same level. These classes run between 45 to 60 minutes weekly depending on the level. Because of the nature of this program, it is not unusual to spend more than one session in the same level.

 

Acro 1 (Age 4-5) 45min

Acro 2 (Age 6-7) 1hr

Acro 3 (Age 9-10)

Acro 4 (Age 11+)

Dress Code

  • Leotard: Any colored leotard, black or any colored short

  • Shoes: barefoot

** No baggy shirts, skirts or tights are allowed.  Hair must be pulled back out of face to a ponytail or bun**
